Hi, from Yorkshire!
« on: December 13, 2004, 09:39:40 AM »
Hello everyone! I have been living in England for just over 3 years now. Only resently have I found websites of other Americans living in the UK... Boy, if I had found them years ago,  I think my transplantation would have been easier... I still find some British things odd... I still compare here to what it was like back home in Minnesota... I miss my home state terribly... I hope to hear from people all over the UK, but especailly from the Northern England region... Its nice to know that I'm not the only American around... Even though I am the only one in my town...  Well, hope to hear from you all soon...Christa

Hi and sorry to hear about the homesickness.  Missing family is definately the hardest part for those of us close to our families.

I hope you enjoy the site and welcome to UKY!

I graduated high school from Duluth--MN is my all time favorite state--the people there are the best!  What part are you from?  Why did you come to England?

This site is so helpful and fun, I hope you meet some expats up your way ( I am in southeast)!

Cro!!! Minnesota???
We last lived in South Dakota, 3 hours west of Minneapolis. We're probably moving to Yorkshire next spring... living in France at present... so, am well into getting over my homesickness. The first few months in France were daunting, to say the least.

I'd love to hear from you.
What part of Yorkshire are you living in???
