Yeah - if you have everything sorted and no problems, the DX is usually the only hiccup. But man...
I forgot to include my expiring passport and so was advised by the embassy to just make a new application and pay a new courier fee. They were right - it WAS faster because I spent ages on the phone to DX trying to get the original package retrieved and you would have thought I was asking them to resurrect Christ. Just a shambles.
The problems are on the DX side, not the US embassy - after a few weeks I hadn't received the passport back and I was traveling imminently, emailed the Embassy and they had processed it and it was ready to go out but DX hadn't picked it up. Anyway, they found it and it was to me pronto, but not before we had another delivery snafu where the guy said he couldn't find my partner's work address. IN HOLBORN?
I mean, Yodel would be better than this!
