What is next? (FLR(M))
« on: June 23, 2019, 09:31:04 PM »
Hey guys! I'm back because I'm at my 2.5 year mark for my spousal visa. Before I had left I had made a post just asking what was next so I could prepare ahead of time, but I am aware that lots of things have changed such as the process for applying, biometrics, and the surcharge increase. My BRP expires August 29th and I was told I could first apply in May 2019. Is this still correct? What should I be doing and gathering? Thanks.

Ksand's answers in your previous thread about when to apply still stand. https://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php?topic=90640.msg1174256#msg1174256

The application process is now online but the requirements remain the same.

You should be gathering your financial and accommodation evidence together and sorting out your correspondence evidence.

Get started looking at the online application but don't submit until you have all of your documentation ready. Remember, the financial evidence must be dated within 28 days of the online application.

Thanks for the reply. Am I correct in thinking that the priority process is now gone and that the appointment situation has changed as well due to the partnership with sopra steria?

Yes, the old get the decision while you wait, priority process is no more but you can still pay extra to get a decision within 24 hours, if you want to. It often takes longer than that although recently they seem to have been a bit quicker.
