Loving all the photos!

Puffins will always be my favourite. We are hoping to see them again later on in the season after the chicks hatch. They are a lot more active then and have their beaks full of sand eels!

The Gannetts were also impressive but we didn't get to see a lot of them.

I'll look at that. I really want to get to a place that has a longer stay time.  Staffa is only an hour, Isle of May is 2 hours. It is not enough time to explore. I realise a lot has to do with the tides but...

I wonder if there is more than one boat a day, so that you could go in with an earlier one but come back later perhaps?
I don't even think they allow you to land on the Bass Rock but you pass round it close enough to get a really good view (and smell!)  of the colonies. 

One looks like they land for 3 hours but it's too dear... like £140 per person. I'll pass at that price.

And we're off again. This time we are travelling the NE Coast and then along the Moray Firth up to Channory Point.

We are only on Day 2 and I already have a million photos!

So fat we've stopped in Arbroath, Boddin Lime Kiln, Fowlsheugh RSPB Centre, Dunnotar Castle, Newburgh, the seal colony at Newburgh Beach, Slains Caste in Cruden Bay, Fraserburgh, Macduff and now we are in Buckie for the night.

Tomorrow is Spey Bay and then onto Inverness and points inbetween.

We stopped in Spey Bey, Lossiemouth, Elgin, Nairn and Fort George. We actually stayed the night in Ardersier and not Inverness proper.

We spent Monday shopping in Inverness before heading home.

Gorgeous pictures! I'm so glad you went to Leakey's, it's probably my favourite place in Inverness.

I have always found "delicious hot or cold" rather ambitious.
