elderly parents
« on: April 21, 2019, 06:29:01 PM »
I’m going to be telling drama mama and my dad this week when we’re leaving. I want to have some things to have in place for them when we leave.
Any insight on anything would be great.
Also, has anyone seen or heard of this? My parents are backwards when it comes to technology

There's a French product called something like the family Gazette.  The kids post pictures and notes to something like Instagram, and then it is actually printed out and mailed to old people every few weeks.  They all seem to love it.

I think an alternative to the product you mentioned would be just to give them one of those Alexas with the screen and put it in their kitchen.  Anyone can initiate a video call with just a few words to Alexa.  I'll let you decide wether such a thing is good or bad and wether it might be better to just send the occasional still picture.
