Why in the world does the BBC keep doing this to their own people?

I noticed the same thing, last night the BBC was reporting that Merkel had said “The deal has already been negotiated but if you think you can come up with an alternative, you’ve only got 30 days .  Let me know how that works out for you.“ 

This morning all the papers are like “Merkel promised to get rid of the backstop in the next 30 days!  British Bulldogs prevail over idiot foreigners by talking slower and louder “

Macron will set him right today.

I hope Macron gives him a good telling!
