Civil Service recruiting

In case it matters to anyone here, there's a boatload of "Fast Track" Civil Service jobs being advertised on Gov.uk.  They pay adequately (in the 20s) for training, with substantial increases promised (I believe - just glanced through it) after your two year training is up.

Really wish companies here used "degree or equivalent xx years of experience". Even in the US of you've been working in your field at a high enough level that gives you the qualification for many civil service jobs.

I guess if you have a US/overseas degree you would need to use NARIC to qualify because they specify 2:2?

Yeah, that's my guess. You get it evaluated by an official body, like Naric.

It works the same going the other direction - to get equivalency for a UK degree, you have to go through WES or some other approved entity. The US Civil Service and a lot of the government jobs there do state years experience or degree/years of education in lieu, so at least there's that.
