I am new here. I lived in England as a study abroad student for approximately 6 months back in 2001. I fell in love with Europe and specifcally the U.K. and London. I also loved Ireland.
My dream is to move to England and work as I do right now. I am 24 now.
I graduated college with two degrees; international business and human resource management.
I will be finished with my graduate degree this Spring; International Business Management.
While pursuing college, I also remain employed as the Market Research Manager for a billion dollar (US) company. I work with everyone in the company from sales agents the CEO on a regular basis.
I have many hobbies, and I love to cook. I am trained in spanish. I ran a business for 4 years and paid my undergraduate tuition ($18,000US)/YEAR with my personal equity before selling it. I am not worried about my resume.
I became interested in the Highly Skill Migrant Programme. I feel this is one option to gain entrance to the U.K. and pursue employment. (I took a pre-approval short answer survey and scored a 55 of 65 required)
The other is finding a company to sponsor me from the U.K. while I am in the U.S. (Highly unlikely) I was wondering what sort of advice people had.
I really want to move to England. All of my friends and family are supporting me, but no one has ever experienced migration issues or ever traveled to the U.K. except for one of my cousins who is studying at an international dance consortium in Dublin.
I have sufficient money saved so while the exchange rate is quite poor, I am confident I can endure a year to two years of joblessness should it come down to that if I manage to find a way to get to England.
I also pursued avenues with my company, but there are no plans to operate in Europe, except for Ampsterdam where the staffing is almost entirely native.
Essentially, I have the motive, the internal backing, and desire to move and work in the U.K. So what's next?
Thank you!
