Sourcing a new hard drive
« on: October 31, 2019, 09:34:31 AM »
Probably asked many times before, but.... where's the best place to get an external hard drive on this island? (Something one to three Tb.) For a good price, I mean, and a good brand?

I usually get stuff like that from Amazon.

No need to use a specialist site.

Ebuyer is alright for them too, compare to Amazon. We usually go with western digital.

Yeah, I've just ordered a WD 2 terrabyte off Amazon (best price I could find) and it'll be here next week. Which is good.  :)

Given the PC slow down problems you reported on another thread you may want to install a version of Windows on this drive and experiment with booting from the new drive just to see if the boot-up process is faster.
