Hello again
« on: January 04, 2005, 01:42:04 PM »
Hi there,

I haven't posted on this site in ages, every since my company prohibited the use of forum cruising on office PCs, but I used to pop on now and again and arrange outings in London. Thought I'd re-introduce myself as I've been away for so long and it seemed rude to start posting again without saying Hi!  I moved to London 4 years ago on a work permit and today is my 4 year UK anniversary!  :D Tomorrow I have an appt at Croydon for ILR...I'm so excited!

Anyway, I'm from Ohio, work in marketing research and have lived in London for 4 years. I met my boyfriend about 14 months ago and have happily decided to stay in the UK. Some friends and I regularly arranged happy hours and nights out throughout 2001-3, but got lazy in 2004. Now that most of our friends have moved back to the US we are going to try to meet some new people for '05.

Wishing you all a very happy new year!
Elizabeth

Thanks onetiger! I will check out your post (I read the first part and need to read the rest). 3 years ago I organised a HH at Cafe Pacifico at which I met my two very bestest friends (and lots of other fab people, all of whom have moved away recently). Thanks for organising!

BTW...you may have moved here for work but you'll stay for love! I sure am  ::) Got my ILR on Wednesday and it's a wonderful feeling to be able to stay here by choice and not because of a work permit!
