FLR(M) Correspondence check
« on: January 31, 2020, 10:49:21 AM »
Hi all,

I've got my entire application prepared and have all the necessary documents, but I just wanted to double check my correspondence  please.
I arrived in June 2017. So far I have:

Council tax bill in Joint Names- July 2017
Ovo Energy in Joint Names - December 2017
Council Tax in Joint Names -March 2018
Ovo energy in Joint Names -June 2018
British Gas in Joint Nmes -February 2019
British Gas in Joint Names  -August 2019
British Gas in Joint Names -Dec 2019
Council tax for new rental property -Jan 2020.

I know its overkill and there are some dates that are spaced out a bit too far, but Im finding it difficult to find other months that could work.
Thanks in advance!

You only need to cover the last 2 years with your correspondence documents.

You need 1 document in each name, dated every 4 months from January 2018 to January 2020, and you need at least 3 different sources.

So, your documents should be dated in the following months:
January 2018
May 2018
September 2018
January 2019
May 2019
September 2019
Optional extra: January 2020

If you cannot meet those months, you could shift it by one month either way.

For example:
December 2017
April 2018
August 2018
December 2018
April 2019
August 2019
December 2019 (optional)

Or:
February 2018
June 2018
October 2018
February 2019
June 2019
October 2019
February 2020 (optional)

Ohhhhh that makes sense now.
I was thinking it was 2 years from the start of the visa, not two years from date of submission if that makes sense.
Thank you!

Looking at the documents you have, maybe the third option could be better as you already have some for those months.

So you would need:

February 2018
1. ?

June 2018
2. ?

October 2018
3. ?

February 2019
4. British Gas in Joint Names -February 2019

June 2019
5. Ovo energy in Joint Names -June 2018

October 2019
6. ?

February 2020 (optional)
7. Council tax for new rental property -Jan 2020, though you will use this for your accommodation documents anyway, so this doesn't really need to be used for correspondence.

Do you have paper bank statements (either joint or individual) that you have collected each month which you could use to fill in the months you don't have documents for?

Alternatively, what about things like:
- NHS letters
- DVLA letters
- HMRC letters
- TV licence letter/documents
- phone bills
- TV/internet bills

So I had a rejig and theres one or two pieces that are a month off, but its as close as I could get them.

March 2018- Council Tax
June 2018- Ovo Energy
Oct 2018 - Ovo Energy
Feb 2019- British Gas
May 2019- British Gas
Nov 2019- British Gas
Jan 2020- Council tax

For one of the British Gas statements, I might be able to get two individual bank statements or a joint bank statement.

Think this would be acceptable?
