Spouse Visa Relationship Proof - Text Message Content
« on: February 01, 2020, 09:03:42 PM »
Hi all!

My husband and I are finishing compiling our supporting documents for the spouse visa, and we have two questions about our FB messages, text messages, emails, WeChat logs, etc.

1) Other people on the forum have suggested blacking out message content and just showing time stamps on communication records. Is there a reason for this? We honestly don't care if anyone reads our messages and would rather save the time in editing and not black out all the content. Just want to make sure that immigration doesn't have a rule requiring us to edit out message content!

2) Over our 9 year relationship, we communicated variously through 6 different communication platforms. We're planning to submit 2 pages of logs/screenshots for each method, aiming for 1-2 communications per month throughout our relationship. Will this be sufficient? Is this overkill?

Thank you :) I really appreciate having this forum as a resource!

1- They certainly won't penalise you for including content so if it's easier for you, I'd go ahead and do that.

2- That sounds about right. Do include some physical letters/ cards as well if you have them, they like to see those.  And of course the pics, evidence of travel to see each other etc.
