Hello! Just making sure that I am right in thinking that I need to send in everything by 25/10/2020. My residence permit expires 25/11/2020.
You arrived in the UK on a fiance visa and then switched to FLR(M), correct? And now you are preparing to apply for
ILR your second FLR(M)?
If so, then the ABSOLUTE EARLIEST you can apply for ILR is 28th October 2020 (28 days before 25th November) and the latest you can apply is 25th November.
Do I need paystubs from Feb to then from both my spouse and I?
No, you need the required payslips and bank statements for the financial category you are applying under. If you OR your spouse meets the financial requirement with only your individual income, then you ONLY need to send that person's payslips and bank statements, and you DO NOT mention the other person's income at all.
The number of months of payslips and bank statements you must send will depend on which Category you meet and what date you apply for ILR.
For Category A, you need the most recent 6 months... so if you apply in early November, you would provide payslips and bank statements from April/May to October.
For Category B, you need the most recent 12 months, so if you apply in early November, you would provide payslips and bank statements from Sept/October 2019 to October 2020
How do we get our passports and residence permit legally copied?
You don't. Everything is scanned and uploaded now.
I just know Feb is the 6 month mark of prep!!
Actually, April or May is your 6 months before you apply.
Anything else I should gather now? On holiday so it's a great time to sort all of it! Thanks!
Only things to gather at the moment are some of your correspondence documents. You need 6 in each name, spaced every
5 months, 4 months, covering the
length of your current FLR(M) visa. the last 2 years.
You may also need to start gathering payslips/bank statements, but that depends on the financial category you are using.
Oh and costs for the visa and NHS charge too! Thank you!!
Visa is currently
£2,389 £1,033 but this may increase in April.
There is no NHS charge as you will be entitled to UK benefits once you have ILR. The IHS surcharge for FLR(M) is £1,000 (£400 x 2.5 years of the visa).
