Ewwwwww! Glad that worked out! That's a really bad feeling - been there, too!

When we left the USA, there was a carport full of our stuff with a note to the AmVets guy who was coming the next morning to pick it up. We had to leave on (I think it was) a Sunday, and he came on Monday.  Thankfully our landlord was understanding! I wonder how much of the stuff got pilfered by the neighbors?  ::)

I'll have to give two months' notice here. Which is a really long notice! But that's ok. I will arrange for them to come get the furniture early on in that period. Everything else will be already boxed up or need to be packed by the movers, so if all the donated stuff is already gone that'll be a lot easier that telling the movers "pack this, no don't pack that"!

The Daughter got the Ikea bookshelves disassembled today, with some colorful language involved. Note to self: never assume you'll never need to take Ikea stuff apart and don't put it together so darned well!  When we put them together I really didn't think I'd be moving for many years, and then only relatively locally. So at worst they would have been loaded on a truck for a short haul. Oh, well....Anyway, it's in bits, just waiting to be shrink-wrapped around the glass doors. The movers can do a proper wrap of it later. It is actually cheaper to ship these home - and they don't sell that color anymore, anyway - than buy replacements at the other end.

I'm still trying to figure out how we got so much more stuff in just the time we've been here!!!!????

You do so much at your house its not too surprising you made it so "homey". I have had many periods of getting lots of things and then not for a while. I may possibly have too many vinyl records and balls of yarn atm, but most of it does have projects attached to it. :D

Oh, heavens, don't get me started on how much yarn is in this house!  ;) ;D ;D

And I've got half of the five hundred LP records packed so far. Thankfully we saved the boxes we shipped them over in as the ones I bought to pack here are just a hair too short to hold them!
