Land Registry
« on: March 10, 2020, 05:12:16 AM »
I downloaded the online Title Register for £3 from this link: https://eservices.landregistry.gov.uk/eservices/FindAProperty/view/QuickEnquiryInit.do

I have the online copy however it states on page 2: "This is a copy of the register of the title number set out immediately below, showing the entries in the register on 10 MAR 2020 at 00:21:03. This copy does not take account of any application made after that time even if still pending in HM Land Registry when this copy was issued.

This copy is not an 'Official Copy' of the register. An official copy of the register is admissible in evidence in a court to the same extent as the original. A person is entitled to be indemnified by the registrar if he or she suffers loss by reason of a mistake in an official copy. If you want to obtain an official copy, the HM Land Registry web site explains how to do this."

I was under the impression this online document could be used, but I guess I need to pay £7 to get an official copy in paper? I thought I read members here had submitted the online copies, but I don't know if this is true?

Thanks!

Most people use the £3 one.

Nope, the £3 one is fine and is actually considered official for the visa.

In the 13 years I’ve been on the forum, thousands of people have used the £3 one and no one has had any issues with it at all.

Ok, just to confirm this is what it looks like: https://i.imgur.com/PpazyP3.png (second paragraph stating it's not an official copy is ok, as long as accompanied by a mortgage statement and letter from parents?

Yep, it’s fine. Even if it’s not accompanied by the mortgage statement and letter, it’s still fine.

For the purpose of the visa application, they consider the £3 version to be an ‘official’ copy of the Land Registry.

Perfect thanks.

Finally, I have all the original documents here in the UK. Can I just scan them on a printer to send them to my email, and then just upload the files when she applies for her visa?
