Coronavirus and SSP
« on: March 12, 2020, 01:58:53 PM »
Hi everyone,
Sorry if posting to wrong place, just unsure where this would go....

Just curious before it happens, but my job is looking at potentially quarentining employees. When they discuss pay they then say we are eligible for Satutory Sick Pay. However as a spousal visa holder (on my first 2.5 years) I am just not sure if i am actually  eligible.

Can someone clarify if I could apply and receive the funds or would this be considered a benefit and therefore cause issues when we go for the FLR(m)?

Thank you!
Staci

SSP isn't government assistance so this will not impact you. You will be payed SSP as it's not public funds and is listed within your employment contract (i would assume)
