HR letter query
« on: June 04, 2020, 09:22:18 AM »
Hi folks,

I've asked our HR department to produce a letter, and there are two issues with it.

1. It isn't a wet-ink original this time, rather a digitally-signed (by image) letter, and they say this is going to be difficult because of COVID-19 restrictions around the office.

2. The commencement date of my employment now says 2015 (reflecting a job title consolidation or something) rather than 2006 (the date stated on previous applications). Both dates pass the 12 month mark but they're inconsistent.

I've asked for a replacement letter but if I'm out of luck, could I explain this in a cover letter?

Thanks!

Yes, if you can't get the replacement, just explain the situation. Should not be a problem at all.
