Hi there
I am a UK citizen living with my American wife in London.
We are interested in buying a property in the US to eventually live in and perhaps rent out in the meantime.
Is this feasible? Does anyone have experience?
Some things I am thinking about
1) will they lend / mortgage on UK earnings?
2) will this affect my ‘its my second home’ given I own in the UK?
3) how would rental income be taxed
4) could I simply put in spouses name to make things simpler?
If anyone has a good resource pls share! Thank you
