May I ask a query on the 6 letters and/or other documents addressed to you and your partner at the same address to show that you have been living together during the past 2.5 years

If we are applying in June this year presumably we will need the following dated documents with both our names on:

June 2020
January 2020
July 2019
January 2019
July 2018
January 2018

Is anyone able to confirm this? Are you also limited to how many vendors the letters can come from in total?

As you are applying for ILR, you need to cover the full 2.5 years with the mail, which means they need to be spaced 5 months apart, not 4 months, and you need to cover from December 2017 to June 2020.

Therefore they should be from the following months:
December 2017
May 2018
October 2018
March 2019
August 2019
January 2020
(June 2020)

Are you also limited to how many vendors the letters can come from in total?

No - you must have at least 3 official sources (i.e. bank statements, water bills, council tax bills), but there's no upper limit.

I finally spoke to the Home Office today and they mentioned if the Life in the UK test is cancelled on June 16th that we sent a letter with the application and inform them it was cancelled and submit 7 zeros as an application reference on the test section.

They said it would be down to the case worker how they proceed, they even mentioned it may be another spousal visa for 2.5 years which I find incredulous at this stage.

I just hope we can take the test and my wife passes.

Hopefully they will issue guidance and/or allow testing by then.  Hopefully they will also extend expiry dates to allow people to sit the LIUK test and then apply ILR.

Hi all,

Hope  you're all ok during this time, I am putting together my wife's ILR application and documents for submission at the end of June/early July.
She is taking her life in the UK test on 16th June, hopefully it goes ahead!

Recent Gas/Electricity bill (may 2020) in both my wife's and my name
Recent Gas/Electricity bill (Nov 2019) in both my wife's and my name
Recent water bill (March 2020) in both my wife's and my name
TV License statement in my name valid until 12/2020


My passport for UK citizenship

A letter from the employer(s) who issued the payslips confirming
1. the employment;
2. the gross annual salary;
3. how long the employment has been/was held;
4. the period over which the person has been paid the level of salary stated in their application; and
5. the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency) -
A P60 for the relevant period(s) of employment relied upon - will also include previous years P60s
Payslips covering a period of 6 months prior to the date of application

Current Biometric Residence Permit for my wife

Because these are scanned documents now rather than posted, have you had your employer sign the employment documents? I am curious myself.

My contract is signed by the employer, the statement of earnings letter is also signed by head of accounts, I will ask them to sign each of the payslips too, once I get June's.
