Sorry to jump in here with a question.
Can you not just print out the electronic statements from the respective bank?
The ones I have are downloaded from HSBC and are exact copies of the ones we would get in the mail. They are fairly official including all details, bank details and their logo + branding.
Thanks!
For the financial requirement, if the statements are printed from online banking, they MUST either be:
- stamped by the bank on every single page
Or
- accompanied by a letter from the bank confirming their authenticity
This is to confirm that you did not forge, alter or tamper with the amounts on the statements before you printed them.
For the cohabitation requirement, ALL documents MUST have been received in the post in the months they are dated, because you are proving that you were both living in the house in those months and therefore were physically present to be able to receive them in person.
You cannot use any electronic documents for the cohabitation requirement because they do not prove you were actually living in the house on the dates they were issued. For example I have a US bank account registered to my aunt’s address in the US... I receive electronic statements every month... but I cannot use them to prove I live at her address in the US, because I don’t. I’m British and haven’t lived in the US in 12 years.
