Am I allowed free prescriptions as a visa holder?

Hello all! I am in the tail end of my pregnancy and I have never turned in my free prescription form as I couldn't remember if we as immigrants on visas are entitled to this perk or if I'll screw up my visa renewal for applying for it. Do I qualify for the free prescriptions and dental care as the visa holder?

Are you in England or Scotland? And I'm assuming you are on either a spouse visa or FLR(M)?

You are eligible for free prescriptions right now because you are pregnant.  After you deliver,  you will be charged for prescriptions.

You qualify because you are a resident on a visa. It doesn't affect your visa and it is an entitlement.

Yes, you are allowed free prescriptions.

You are entitled to the free prescriptions because you are pregnant (i.e. a medical reason), not because of your income . Therefore it is not considered a public fund to get the free prescriptions.

The same would apply if you had a particular medical condition (like diabetes, certain thyroid conditions, cancer etc.)... you would still be entitled to free prescriptions, regardless of the fact that you have a visa (and also because you have paid the IHS surcharge which allows you to access these NHS services)

Wooo!! I went to get my whooping cough vaccine and completely forgot to take my form with me, of course. Guess I'll be popping by the GP to drop it off another day
