Will Notifications Come on UK Time, US Time or Both?

Just wondering when the email comes saying a decision is made (if it comes rather) will that be only on UK time? Or is it possible it will be on US time? Just wondering when I can safely stop staring at my inbox when to expect and not expect any emails to come.

I hope that makes sense above^^ But I realize some people might not remember when they received the decision has been made email to know if it was within UK business hours or an overlap with US's business hours or what.

Another question: is the date of application the biometrics appointment date or when I submitted the application? I was going to keep track of business days but unsure when to go back to.

Unfortunately due to Covid-19 there are delays all over the place, so it's difficult to know when you'll receive your visa right now. I'm also not sure with the new process if they send the email from NY or Sheffield, hopefully someone who applied in the last year might know that. The days are counted from biometrics as they don't have your documents until then. I know it's difficult but try to just be patient and know it'll come.

If it helps - I just went back and checked... I got my first 'decision made' email at 12:51pm UK time on a Friday (Jan '18), so in the morning east coast time. I counted days from my biometrics appointment, though it was a new 'gold/premium' service from VFS for which a few of us turned out to be beta testers. Not sure how things might have changed with VFS/biometrics over the past couple of years.
