Employer letter--can someone have a look?
« on: August 05, 2020, 02:54:15 PM »
Hi there,
Can someone please check this over and see if anything needs changing. My husbands pay is confusing due to a raise, on call and Covid.
Thanks very much for your help.

To Whom It may Concern:

My name is Tim P....and I am the direct line manager overseeing Mr. AJW as a Dev Ops Engineer with CC.

AJW was given an offer of permanent, full time employment on 18th September 2018. He subsequently accepted this offer and a start date of 3rd December 2018 was decided upon.

Andrew started on a salary of £47,000 per annum, but received a pay rise of £5,000 per annum which started in March of 2020, which puts his current salary at £52,000 per annum.

In addition to his base salary, AJW also gets paid for participating in an on call rota in which he is on call every 4 days. His paychecks will change slightly every month depending on how many of his on call days fell in that particular month. The on call pay is as follows:
-Weekdays £25/day
-Weekends £50/day
-Bank holidays £75/day

In addition to the above information, I can confirm the verify the authenticity of the following payslips:

January 2020:
Gross pay: £3,881.51
Amount paid: £2897.57
Date paid in: 24/01/2020

February 2020:

Amount paid: £3,436.72
Date paid in: 26/02/2020

March 2020:
Gross pay: £4,402.33
Amount paid: £3,219.22
Date paid in: 26/03/2020

April 2020:
Gross pay: £4,502.33
Amount paid: £3,293.98
Date paid in: 24/04/2020

May 2020:
Gross pay: £4,353.17
Amount paid: £3,207.01
Date paid in: 26/05/2020

June 2020:
Gross pay: £4,425.17
Amount paid: £3,279.71
Date paid in: 26/06/2020

July 2020:
Gross pay: £4,378.17
Amount paid: 3,221.51
Date paid in: 24/07/2020

COVID-19 Pay Impact
Due to COVID-19, all of our employees have been asked to take a temporary pay cut of 10% to help the company deal with the financial impacts of the pandemic. Due to this paycut, Andrew’s pay has been short £183.33 effective from 1st of May through to August at which point it shall be reevaluated.

If you have any further questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

TP
