P60 for spouse visa extension

I have to apply for a spouse visa extension in January so I’ve been getting my docs ready.

One thing is the company I work for only do P60s electronically. I’ve emailed them asking if there was any way for them to mail it to me because I need it for my visa application. They said I can print it and ...“if they require further validation then the third party would need to contact the employer (or Payroll department) directly enclosing a signed authority from the employee to divulge such information.“

I don’t really know what to do now because I thought the application won’t accept a printed P60.

I supplied a printed P60 and received a recent approval. The only unprinted evidence that I supplied were the mails for proof of address.

The P60 is not mandatory. Make sure you have the electronic version in case they ask you for it but don't go to any special effort to get it on paper.
