FLR Cat B - two employer letters?
« on: October 12, 2020, 01:41:51 PM »
Hi!

I last logged in here whilst my wife was applying for the initial spouse visa and I remember how helpful everyone was. About to apply for the FLR M extension (I'm the UK sponsor, my wife the US applicant).

We're using my income for the application. I changed jobs last month so will be going Cat B. My question is whether I need an employer letter from my previous employer in addition to my current one? The payslips I'll be using from my previous employer are downloads, rather than original hard copies, so I know that typically requires an employer letter confirming they're genuine. It would be a bit of a hassle, but not impossible, to get in touch with my ex employer, but would rather not if it wasn't a requirement.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, you will need a letter from your previous employer authenticating all your payslips, as well as the mandatory letter from your current employer confirming your current employment details.

So, the letters you will need are:

Letter from Current Employer
stating:
- current employer and salary
- length of employment
- length of time earning current salary
- type of employment
And also:
- authenticating your payslips if they are electronic

Letter from Previous Employer
- authenticating all your electronic payslips over the last 12 months
