ILR Document Checklist - Final
« on: October 05, 2020, 10:42:37 AM »
Morning All

I will be applying for ILR this coming Saturday and was hoping someone can give my list a look over and let me know if anything is missing/can omit anything. I know I probably have too many cohabitation documents, but this was really the only format we had available with the letters/post we have since 2018.

Applicant Documents
-Completed SETm Application (online)
-Life in the UK Pass Certificate - or do they only need the reference number on the application?
-Current Passport
-Previous Passport
-BRP Card

Sponsor Documents
-Current Passport

Financial Requirement - Category A
-Payslips Covering 6 Month Period - Dates: March-September 2020
-Corresponding Bank Statements for above Period (stamped and signed) - Dates: March-October 2020
-Letter from Employer Confirming Authenticity of Payslips, P60 and Employment Verification (Salary, type of employment, start date etc)
-Latest Issued P60 (April 2020)

Accommodation Documents
-Tenancy Agreement
-Council Tax

Relationship & Cohabitation Documents
-Marriage Certificate
-Copy of Daughter's birth certifcate
-Cohabitation Documents: (covering from March 2018-Sept 2020):
May 2018: Bank Statement (joint)
Sept 2019: HMRC Tax Calculation Letter (applicant)
         Electricity Bill (Sponsor)
Dec 2018: Bank Statement (joint)
March 2019: Council Tax (joint)
June 2019: Bank Statement (joint)
Nov 2019: Supplemental Tenancy Agreement (joint)
Jan 2020: Council Tax (joint)
March 2020: Council Tax (joint)
May 2020: Maternity Allowance Letter (applicant)
June 2020: Credit Card Statement (sponsor)
Sept 2020: Bank Statement (joint)

Any help is much appreciated!

*to add to this, I have an application question. The question asking how long I've lived in the UK, I am not sure what to put. I entered the UK on 24/10/15, so that would be 4 years, 11 months. I know about the 28 day rule. Do I put 4 years, 11 months? Or 5 years?

It looks pretty good. Is the exact same 6 month period covered by both your bank statements and pay slips? The most recent pay slip, bank statement and employer's letter are dated within 28 days of your application date?

You will need a letter confirming your child's address dated within 3 months.

It's the time at application so you would put 4 years 11 months.

Just going to rearrange your documents slightly into the upload sections for the application (additions are in blue):

Applicant Documents
- Current Passport - all pages
- Previous Passport (this may go in the "Other" section - I'm never quite sure)
- Application declarations/consent to checks forms
(I believe the Life in the UK test 'certificate' is only issued as a reference number now)

Proof of Identity/Travel History
-Current UK Passport - all pages
-BRP Card

Finances
-Payslips Covering 6 Month Period - Dates: March-September 2020
-Corresponding Bank Statements for above Period (stamped and signed) - Dates: March-October 2020
-Letter from Employer Confirming Authenticity of Payslips, P60 and Employment Verification (Salary, type of employment, start date etc)
-Latest Issued P60 (April 2020)
- Job Contract (if you have it)

Residence in the UK
Accommodation
-Tenancy Agreement
-Council Tax
Cohabitation Documents
-Cohabitation Documents covering from March 2018-Sept 2020
- Letter explaining why your documents are not evenly-spaced

Other
- Marriage Certificate
- Daughter's birth certificate
- Daughter's passport (if she has one)
- Letter from GP/school dated in last 3 months confirming daughter's address

You put 4 years and 11 months... because that is how long you have lived in the UK. If you put 5 years, that would be a lie.

Here are the dates of the payslips we are submitting:

25 March 2020 - £xxx
24 April 2020 - £xxx
22 May 2020 - £xxx
25 June 2020 - £xxx
24 July 2020 - £xxx
25 August 2020 - £xxx
25 September 2020 - £xxx

Here are the dates of the payslips we are submitting.

I am applying on 10/10. I will get bank statements from 01/03-30/09. Do these dates look correct?
The employers letter is being issued this week. All of these docs will be dated within 28 days :)

I have requested a letter from the GP confirming my daughters address

Questions re bank statements for proof of earnings and address - if these have been mailed to us in the post from our bank I assume they do not need signing/stamping?

No, they are fine as they are.

Bank statements only need to be stamped/signed if you have printed them at home from online banking... to proof you did not tamper with or forge them before printing.

Fab! Do you happen to know what the file size limit is per document when it comes to uploading the various PDF's?
