My husband has a dairy allergy and a soya intolerance. We use hemp milk and vinegar to make buttermilk and it works a treat.
Jimbo, what about an air fryer? They're all the rage these days. I had one for years, but it gave up the ghost. Haven't bothered to replace it though, as I find oven 'frying' does what I need most of the time. I can do decent oven crumbed 'fried' chicken, but it doesn't remotely compare to frying in oil. Thinking about another air fryer as a halfway house.
