Easter
« on: March 12, 2005, 01:34:55 PM »
I just found out that the people I'm living with are all going away to visit friends/family for a week over Easter, so I'm going to be all on my own.  :\\\'(   My friends here are spending the day with parents/family, so I can't really tag along with any of them. Easter has always been a huge day with my family in America; church, then an Easter egg hunt, then a huge meal and everyone hanging out together for the rest of the day. I've never been homesick before, but I think I'm starting to be.

Are you staying the UK right now?  I just saw the American flag next to your name, and I thought that the flags were locators to where you are.  I could be totally wrong though.  Do you attend a local church?  I am sure that there are going to be activities that day at church and you can go by yourself and meet people.  I'm sure everyone will be friendly and you might have some fun.

I've been in the Manchester for three months, and I'm staying for three more. Then I'm back in America until February 2006, then back again in England until August. I was still in the USA when I first posted! There really needs to be a flag that's 1/2 British and 1/2 American! I'm going to go to church Easter Sunday, but it's not the same as spending the day with people you know.

It'd be a great day to do some site seeing.  Go to an attraction.  Alot will be open, but quiet I should think.  Look at a 'what's on' sort of thing.  I'm sure you'll find something.  It's best to keep busy.   :)
