Missed FBAR
« on: April 13, 2021, 01:14:28 AM »
Hello all,

I filed an FBAR for US tax years 2018 and 2020, but for tax year 2019 I sent the form to my accountant thinking he would file it on my behalf and he did not. I did file an income tax return including the interest/earnings from my accounts for all years. Do I need to file the late/missing FBAR with the Streamlined Filing Compliance Procedures [nofollow] , or can I simply submit the missing years' return using this guidance [nofollow] ?

Thanks everyone for any help!

I would file it the normal way and simply give the reason why it is late. There is a place at top that allows you to do this.

Things happen, you are a regular filer so no problem.
