Tax help for older people

Hello,

Just to add something helpful into the mix following my complicated question, we did find a really helpful resource that may help others here.

If you are over 60 and earn less than £20,000 a year in the UK (as an individual rather than household income), you can access Tax help for Older People. They helped us get Beth registered and on track with her UK tax returns and were excellent. They can't help with details of the UK-US complexities, but were very helpful to us.

Hello lovely Larrabee,

We're good on the whole, notwithstanding  scary tax confusions.

Getting oriented for Beth's indefinite leave application in under a year now. She's also got Life in the UK test next month so we're doing zoom quizzes with friends. I designed some puppy life in the UK questions to entertain all us dog owners too. I am finding that my knowledge on Romans and Monarchs is improving, though I fairly often fail the practice tests. Thankfully it's not me taking the test!
