Fiancé to Spouse
« on: October 02, 2021, 12:54:58 PM »
Hi all.

In moving from a fiancé visa to a spousal visa in the UK. What do we need for Proof of address? We're living with family and don't pay any bills. Will that go against us?

TIA

You'll need the usual accommodation evidence, letter granting permission, stating how many occupants etc confirming no overcrowding, their    land registry and recent mortgage statement.

For the correspondence, get together what mail you can for both of you, this will usually be bank and credit card statements in this situation, (US ones addressed to the UK are good too) and a letter stating why you don't have enough. Switching from fiancee to FLR is a good enough reason and it won't be held against you.

Do start getting as much mail coming in as you can now though, you'll need it for the next 5 years!
