ILR Bank Statements - do they need to be stamped?
« on: October 05, 2021, 08:43:37 AM »
Hi all,

I will be applying for ILR in the coming week, through the financial route of my husband's salaried job. When I applied for FLR(M) in April 2019, my husband's bank (TSB) printed all of the necessary bank statements and stamped them. When he went back yesterday to have them do this again, the manager apparently swore up and down that they no longer stamped bank statements and it didn't make any difference if the bank or my husband printed them.

This seems such a small thing, but I wanted to check with you all as I'm not sure whether "original" bank statements are required. We were fine with the stamped statements that had been printed by the bank last time, but now I'm nervous that these unstamped ones he was given yesterday won't be deemed official or "original" enough!

Thanks for any help you all might be able to provide!

- If the bank mails them to you, they do not need to be stamped

- If the bank prints them for you in-branch, they do not need to be stamped

- If YOU print them at home from online banking they MUST either be:
a) stamped by the bank on EVERY page
OR
b) accompanied by a letter from the bank confirming their authenticity
This is to prove that you did not forge or tamper with the statements before printing them
