England - NI move Ferry Question
« on: September 05, 2021, 03:01:44 PM »
Not sure if this is correct thread to post apologies.

Questions being, Is ferry the best way to relocate from England to Northern Ireland? And if I take the route of a ferry into RoI then drive into NI will that cause trouble for my ILR visa since theres no outbound visa stamp?

Im a US citizen currently on my second FLR[m], and my UK citizen husband has gotten a job offer in Dublin. This new job is helping us relocate to Newry, so my visa won't reset.

We would like to bring our car, and dog, so we've been looking into taking a ferry while a moving truck takes the rest. Fastest and cheapest way seems to be through Ferry to Ireland, then drive into Northern Ireland.
Has anyone done this while on a FLR visa?

Non issue.  Just keep copies of your ferry information (dates of departure/arrivals) and accommodation.  Paper trail will solve any questions that may arise with your next application.
