Personal loans to expats
« on: February 02, 2023, 12:51:28 PM »
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any American banks or financial institutions that would provide a personal Loan to expats.
Trying to consolidate some US credit cards debts and better organize my fiancées.
Can't really get a loan from a UK bank as not only do I work part time, but I also have recently co-signed a loan for my wife.
I still have an excellent credit score in the US so thought I would at least look into it. However, so far every place I've looked at requires a US address and phone number. Thanks.

My US bank, HSBC, only has my UK address and they regularly offer "low interest" loans to me. However, my 2 US pensions pay into it every month so they do know I have a reliable income stream.

If you don't already have a US bank account that can offer you a loan then I think you will struggle to open an account if you don't live in the USA.
Dual USC/UKC living in the UK since May 2016
