Minimum Income Requirement - all advice appreciated!
« on: February 08, 2022, 05:57:17 AM »
Hi there all,

My wife and I have gathered all the documents for our spousal visa application. We are going the savings route for the Minimum Income Requirement, as I am working outside of the UK right now, and so we have had more than £62,500 in our account for more than 6 months.

We submitted our application recently, and were able to show that we have had a bit of padding on top of the £62,500 over the 6 months.

However, my wife was not able to get her biometrics appointment until next month. We are wondering if we are able to dip under the amount we stated when we applied (that would still be above £62,500, just less than we stated before) in the time between we submitted and my wife’s biometrics appointment – or will this put us in a difficult situation?

All help appreciated!

 :D

You should maintain the required amount until your wife enters the UK. I would probably try to keep the amount you declared, however I don't suppose you could be refused as long as you actually meet the requirement.
