FLR(M) and question about employment
« on: August 20, 2022, 05:34:36 PM »
Hi all! It's been a while. My visa expires in September, so I am trying to prepare for FLR(M). I have been reading the posts of others and am a little stressed about what my best option is for whose employment to use for the financial requirement.

We both meet the financial requirement individually, but my husband doesn't make the same amount of money each month. I read somewhere on this forum that this will trigger the application to request 12 months of payslips and bank statements. My husband can get 12 (or 13) months of payslips, but he switched banks in January. His old bank account is closed, so he'd only be able to provide bank statements since January. He had the same job last time I applied for my visa, and we still just included 7 months of payslips and bank statements even though it asked for 12 back then too. I was still approved. Not sure it will be an issue this time?

For my employment, I started in December through a temp agency and was paid by the agency weekly. I then became permanent for the same company in July and am now a salaried employee. I have 2 months of payslips since becoming permanent. My concern is that if we use my income, I will have to print out 16-20 of my payslips from the temp agency and get a letter confirming all of them from the temp agency as well as a letter from my employer.

Which option would you recommend?

It won't be an issue - just provide 7 months of payslips and bank statements and don't worry about it.

The whole asking for 12 months of payslips/bank statements thing is just a technical glitch on the form and won't affect how they will actually process the visa.

Also, I have a feeling that the 12 months vs 6 months thing is only a glitch on the initial spousal visa form and not the FLR(M) form (though I can't access the form to check if that's the case).

I would use your husband's income, as it sounds like his will be the simplest to use, and provide 7 months of payslips and bank statements.

Thank you! I will defintely use my husband's income then. Next I will figure out which mail/post to send.

We are still waiting on the employer letter. My husband had to call them yesterday, and they asked him to resend the e-mail.  ::) The HR manager replied after he resent it that they will take action soon, so hopefully we will hear from them this week.

Today I have been trying to organise what mail/post we'll be using. I moved here in December 2019, and we have council tax letters in my husband's name from March 2020, March 2021 and March 2022, so I tried to plan around them.

I have:

March 2020- Him: Council Tax Statement, Me: Letter from DWP with my National Insurance Number

July 2020- MetroBank Statement in both of our names

November 2020- MetroBank Statement in both of our names

March 2021- Him: Council Tax Statement, Me: Chase Credit Card Bill

July 2021- Him: Utilita Energy Bill, Me: Vanquis Credit Card Bill

November 2021- Him: Utilita Energy Bill, Me: Chase Credit Card Bill

March 2022- Him: Council Tax Statement, Me: Vanquis Credit Card Bill

July 2022- MetroBank Statement in both of our names

Does this look okay? I am also wondering if they only need the first page of these statements, since that's the page with the name and address?

Thank you, and I hope you're all enjoying your long weekend.
