Letter of consent for minor's citizenship application?
« on: September 14, 2022, 01:26:54 PM »
The document checklist says we will need the following, but it was not available to download during the application process? Are we just supposed to write our own?

A letter of consent from (name hidden) parent(s) or legal guardian(s)

The letter must:
give their full names and addresses
say that they agree to let you apply for a British citizenship
If you have more than one parent or legal guardian, they must both sign the letter and confirm that they agree
to what it says. If you only have one parent or legal guardian they must explain why the other parent is unable
to consent e.g. whereabouts unknown, no contact since MM/YYYY.

I would just write one to fulfil those requirements.  In the unlikely case they need anything else they will ask you directly.

cheers,
