Ksand do you think we're good on the bank statements?

Or do you suggest ordering them in the post from HSBC? Basically three of them will be printed in branch from the machine with no stamping/verification.

You can use statements printed in-branch as long as they are proper printouts, usually done by a member of staff from their computer. A lot of people also ask for them to be stamped on each page as well, just to be sure.

I haven’t heard of an applicant/sponsor printing them out themselves from a machine in-branch… so if you do that, I would definitely get them stamped by a member of staff to confirm their authenticity.

If they won’t stamp them, or won’t print them manually for you, it may be better to order the statements through the post instead.

Ksand - I've ordered the statements as a back up option.

I may try another HSBC branch in the meantime to see if they're more amiable in printing off from the computer. The new HSBC branches basically allow you to print from a machine but the output is basically the same as one printed from a computer so I don't know how UKVI would be able to tell. HSBC are notorious for not stamping anything so not having it stamped should be OK. Surely they wouldn't reject it outright would they? I'd expect them to query it during the document checking stage at worst?

If we were to hold off for the paper statements  until next week, does that mean we would need to add anything else in terms of payslips/bank statements? We're going from April to October 2022. The employer letter is dated 3rd November. Just wanted to double check.

Ksand - we've got the paper statements which is a relief.

Just wanted to do a final check of the proof of income:
I will be providing the following:
Signed employment contract
Latest p60
Signed letter from employer (dated 3rd November) confirming that I'm a full time employee, date of joining, starting salary, current salary, explanation of each payslip provided (gross amount, net amount, pay period it covers and pay date)
Payslips from April 2022 - October 2022
Bank statements:
16th April - 15th May
16th May - 15th June
16th June - 15th July
16th July - 15th August
16th August - 15th September
16th September - 15th October
16th October - 4th November

Does that all read OK to you?

Dear all,

Just wanted to say that we got the approval email through yesterday! Thank you to all of you for your help with the application especially Matt and Ksand (as always)!

Now waiting on BRP. We plan to travel abroad on the 15th. Although it's highly unlikely, if we haven't received the new BRP can we still use the old one to travel one last time? I know it's supposed to be shredded but just wanted to check the permutations.

All being well new BRP should hopefully arrive next week!

Thanks

Congratulations :D!

Unfortunately, the old one will have already been cancelled, because the new one has now been issued... so you won't be able to use it to travel.

Once you receive the new one, you should mail the old one back to UKVI so it can be destroyed (they should give you instructions to do this).

Generally speaking though, it normally only takes about 4 days or so for the BRP to be delivered.
