Free Government funded courses for unemployment
« on: December 02, 2022, 06:20:27 PM »
My wife is on her first spouse visa. I just wondered if she would be able to join a fully government funded course? Or does this count as access to public funds therefore not eligible? And could impact the second visa application about 2 years later?

Thank you

Which course? It doesn't show up in the main website for public funds, but you may want to check the detailed guidance linked from this page: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/public-funds--2/public-funds

FWIW - I've undertaken training through a charity aimed at chronically ill folks trying to return to work, but that wasn't government funded. There are training opportunities out there if you look and are patient.

Which course?

This. Have you got a link?

The guidance doesn't list every public fund.  You will need to look at who is allowed to have a course.
