I've had a successful result this week, so wanted to give back and share my documentation list, as I know that's usually the biggest concern:
Proof of Application- Applicant's passport.
- Signed sponsor's declaration/consent form (part of online application).
- Life in the UK Test (if code not earlier uploaded in application)
Residence in the UK- 7 items of mail in each name dated every 5 months going back 2.5 years (from at least 3 different sources). Either named together or within the same calendar month. Note that there's a few examples you may not have thought of here like our NHS Vaccination letters or invoices from Amazon to fill in months where we didn't have something in both our names.

- Latest council tax bill.
- Latest mortgage statement
Finances- 7 months of payslips.
- 7 months of bank statements.
- Employer letter.
1. the employment;
2. the gross annual salary;
3. how long the employment has been/was held;
4. the period over which the person has been paid the level of salary stated in their application; and
5. the type of employment (permanent, fixed-term contract or agency)
- Latest P60.
Proof of Identity / Travel History- My BRP card.
- Sponsor's UK passport. Every page!
- Marriage certificate.
- Dates for trips outside the UK longer than 2 weeks
