Rejected Spouse Visa on Adequate Maintenance Route
« on: January 30, 2023, 11:29:59 AM »
Hi Guys,

Asking this for someone else
Application was made using Carers Allowance and Universal Credit amounting to £117 a week. This was below the required amount of £121 a week which caused the rejection. The calculation of the Home Office somehow came to £103 a week.

Question:

This person also has self employment income which was not provided due to bad advice. We now want to show this extra income to make the application successful.

Please - is it better to apply again or go through an appeal in this scenario?

Kind regards

An appeal will only be successful if the self employed income was provided in full with the original application.  If it wasn’t, the refusal was the correct decision and an appeal would just waste time and money.
