Child just became citizen, travel before getting passport?
« on: June 21, 2023, 02:08:55 PM »
My 7 year old son just got his British citizenship approved last week. I know for adults that they cannot travel outside of the UK until they obtain a UK passport, but I didn't see any instructions about this regarding a child. Since we are due to travel outside the UK at the end of July/beginning of August, I would assume then that it's ok to wait until we get back to apply for it??

Since he has to send in his other passports when applying, I won't want to risk not having them all back before we leave for our trip.

Thanks everyone
