Question about accommodation for ILR
« on: September 27, 2023, 03:03:11 PM »
Hello, I will be applying for my ILR in 3 or so months and I just want to be prepared.  I believe I have almost everything ready but I am not sure what I need to show proof of accommodation this time.  We were renting during the spousal visa and FLR (M),  this past year we bought a house.  Do we need a copy of the deed or land registry?  Also the deed is only in my husband's name, is that an issue or do I need to have him write a letter saying that I can stay in our house with him.  Kind of weird.  Thank you so much in advance.

You should provide the land registry document, latest mortgage statement and your council tax bill.
It's not a problem that the house is only in your husband's name, no letter required. His sponsorship of you is enough to cover that.

Hi larrabee, thank you so much for getting back to me.  Two more questions if I may.  My documents for proof of Cohabitation are nearly perfectly spread in 5 month increments, I have the following options:
August 2021 - Bank Statements
January 2021 - Bank Statements
June 2022 - Council Tax bill
December 2022 - Water Bill
May 2022 - Bank Statements
October - Bank Statements
or
August 2021 - Bank Statements
January 2021 - Bank Statements
June 2022 - Council Tax bill
December 2022 - Water Bill
June 2023 - Water Bill
November 2023 - Bank Statements
Would either be ok or do I need to plug in a few more?  Unfortunately, we do not get many bills so I only have the ones listed above, but we have bank statements for each month so I can easily plug in a few more.

Second, for the Signed sponsor's declaration is it the Sponsorship Undertaking Form (SU07)-(06-23)

This seems right but I am not entirely sure.

Either would be OK (assuming the May 22 on the first list is a typo)

No. Not that form. If there is anything to sign, it comes up with the online application.

Oh wow, thank you so much, it is indeed a typo.  May 2023 and October 2023 - Bank Statements are the last ones in the first mock up list.

Is there not a Signed sponsor's declaration as a part of the ILR? Or is there just something that gets signed electronically while doing the online application?
