Eurovision
« on: April 05, 2023, 12:56:04 PM »
We live not far from Liverpool, and so with Eurovision being held there this year, we thought we would go along for the once and a lifetime experience.  We will be going to the Philharmonic Hall to watch on a big screen so should avoid some of the insanity.

Iā€™m the Brit and so have a Union Jack T-shirt,. Hubby, being the American, will be wearing a T-shirt with both our countries flags on the front.  We are going with a couple of blokes, a married couple, who will be wearing Union Jack waistcoats and matching bow ties.  We are all in our 60s so should know better.

Do I like Eurovision - no! But it should be good fun.  There is so much going on in Liverpool leading up to the event that  it is well worth a visit (quick plug for Liverpool).

Hubby has no idea what he is letting himself in for!   I think he is in for a shock.

We all need more fun!

That sounds like a good group and a good plan, you should have a great time.

I hope it's fun!

We applied for the coronation concert because it's close by and free, but don't know yet if we won in the ballot. I missed the royal wedding because I didn't have the wheelchair yet and couldn't manage that much walking, not going to miss another (probably) once in a lifetime event.

I went a couple of times into 'town'. I live a 12 min train journey from the docks. Had a blast. So many characters and internationals around and such a good buzz!
