I currently live in the UK on an NHS-sponsored work visa. My partner and I got a civil partnership and I’m applying for the partner visa so I can quit my job. I just attended my biometric appointment and my application has been submitted, but I just realized I’ve not seen anything about sending my passport off to get the visa stamped into it.
Last time I applied from within the US, so I mailed my documents and application off to the UK embassy with my passport. This time my documents were all uploaded online along with my application.
Does anyone know if I’ll get to keep my passport this time around and just get a BRP rather than a visa vignette stamp, or will I still need to mail off my passport? I have international travel plans in January and am worried about not getting it back on time if I do need to mail it off after I get a decision. 😅
