Hi there,
My husband is currently coming to the end of his FLR(M) and so we are just getting ready to submit his ILR application (BRP expires November).
I have a few questions I'm hoping someone can help with.
Finances - which persons income to use?
My husband is a newly qualified teacher - he did a probation year contract from August 2022-August 2023 then started a new contract in August 2023. Both contracts were with the City Council. His pay from these easily meet the financial requirement but is it complicated when he has two contracts?
I started a new job in early Feb 2022, then went on Maternity leave in June 2022, returned to work April 2023. I know you don't have to count the Mat Leave period as part of the requirement, although the early part I would be able to meet it. But would I be able to use some time before and after as I wasn't with the company for a full 6 months either before or after mat leave.
I was just wondering if anyone can help suggest which option might be best/easiest to use to meet the requirement? I think my husbands but would love the confirmation.
Residence in the UK
I own the property we live in (as of June 2022). We decided my husband wouldn’t go on the mortgage for various reasons but one being he had just finished studying and hadn’t had much income the previous year. But he contributes half to the mortgage payments and all bills.
So the plan will be to submit the following as evidence – can you help confirm that we don’t need anything else:
- 6/7 items of mail in each name dated every 5 months going back 2.5 years (from at least 3 different sources). Either named together or within the same calendar month.
- Official Copy of Title Deed (in my name)
- Latest council tax bill
- Latest mortgage statement (in my name)
- A letter dated in the last 3 months confirming our child's address
Should I include a letter from me stating that my husband lives in the property?
That’s all for now but I’ll be back in touch soon to confirm I have selected the right bits of mail.
Many thanks!
