IRL Question
« on: October 06, 2023, 12:51:11 PM »
Hello everyone. Long time no see!

We've reached the end now, and I'm prepping to do my online application. I've set up an account and filled in the basic info bit, but I'm not quite ready to do the actual online application as I'm still gathering documents, and I need to book my Life in the UK test. I plan to book and take that soon.

My question is- I moved to the UK on 5 September 2018. My current FLR visa expires in February, so I can apply now until February, right? I've been in the UK 5 entire years at this point, and as I understand it, that's the main thing I needed before I could start? Thanks!
Married: 14 June 2018
FLR #1: 9 August 2018 (Approved!)
FLR #2: 13 July 2021 (Approved!)
ILR #3: 16 February 2024 (Approved!)

It has been an age!  :)  Assuming you came in as a spouse, once you've passed your life In the UK test and have all your evidence together, you can apply any time up until your visa expires. If you came in as a fiancĂ©, it's calculated from your first grant of FLR.
Do study first. Good luck.

Hi larrabee!

(I honestly can't believe it's been 5 years!)

Thanks for the info! I will book my Life in the UK test this weekend, study for it, take it, then complete the application and gather my documents. Hoping to have this bad boy done before Thanksgiving (if possible!)
