ILR - Letter from Employer - Does it need to be within 28 days?
« on: December 29, 2023, 05:38:46 PM »
Evening All!

On the off chance that any of your are reading this on a Friday night I was wondering if you could help me out?

It's ILR time and I was going to apply this weekend sometime. I've just noticed that the letter of employment from my employer is dated 11 Dec 2023.  Does this letter need to fall within 28 days of the application date or does the 28 days only count for payslips and bank statements?

Thanks so much!

The letter should also be dated within 28 days.

Ahhh bummer.  It'll have to be after the bank holiday now.  Typical!  But at least you let me know before I did the application.  Thanks so much Larrabee for taking the time to reply :)

Sorry I am just a bit confused. If you’re applying this weekend, then the your employee letter is within the 28 days, since it’s dated 11th of December ?

Yes, you're correct.

If the employer letter is dated 11th December, then StormTrooper has until Wednesday 8th January to submit the online application.

But if you were to apply online after 8th January, you would need a new letter, as it will be more than 28 days since the letter was issued.
