So I'm trying to book my biometrics appointment and when we were figuring out costs, it stated biometrics were £19.20.
However, it's showing me for a Standard Appointment £125.00 at the Glasgow service center. Can someone help me verify this? It was just a larger expense than we anticipated at this point, cause we're a wee way out from payday and I want to make sure I'm looking at the right thing.

The £19.20 cost is charged by UKVI for the biometrics, which you have already paid as part of your visa fee on the UKVI website.

Then the £125 is what UKVCAS charge for booking the actual appointment, and this charge is on top of the £19.20.

You might be able to find a free appointment on the UKVCAS website, but there may be a wait of a few weeks for one. However, most people have found there are no free appointments available and they have had to pay the £125 for an out-of-hours/next day/same day appointment.

Another option is to try for an Enhanced appointment at an Enhanced centre for about £73… which includes document checking and scanning.

The next available appointment is March 15 for the Glasgow center, not even next day or enhanced. The express was over £200. Just caught us off guard. I'll be uploading all our documents to the website, so we don't  need scanning services. I'm in the very West of Scotland, about a half hour outside Glasgow, so outside of possibly Edinburgh, it would be a bit too far to go to any others right now.

I asked this in one of my earlier posts, but I think it may have been looked over. I am just double checking everything I have uploaded, and I wanted clarification.

So my partner has been continuously employed for more than the past year, but she switched employers a couple months ago for better pay and hours. (She had been working 3rd shift with 10 hour shifts at 7 days on and 7 days off rotation. Now she is in a Monday to Friday 9 to 5 office job and is so much happier.)
Since she has not been with the same employment for the past 6 months, but we have never dipped below the financial requirement, do I need to put a letter explaining the change in employer?
Her last job was also above the financial requirement. Will this change in employment cause our application issues?

Okay, as she has changed employers in the last 6 months, she will no longer qualify under Category A (more than 6 months with current employer) and will have to apply for the visa under Category B instead (less than 6 months with current employer).

This means she has to meet two requirements:
1) a current job paying at least £18,600 per year before tax
AND
2) a total of £18,600 earned before tax in the last 12 months, from any and all jobs held

And she will need to provide the following documents:
- 12 FULL months of payslips from both jobs (though 13 months are usually needed to make sure every day is covered)
- 12 FULL months of bank statements showing the deposit of every single payslip (though 13 months are usually needed to make sure every day is covered)
- a letter from her NEW employer stating all the following:
i)employment and salary
ii) length of employment
iii) length of time earning current salary
iv) type of employment
Plus, if any of her payslips were issued electronically, the letter will need to verify them
- job contract from the new job
- P60 from April 2021
And if any of the payslips from the old job were issued electronically, you will also need a payslip verification letter from the old employer too.

Amazing, thank you. This was what I was concerned about. The letter from the previous employer might be a little tricky because her manager was a little... upset... at her resignation and stopped replying to her emails, but I think we might be able to get the rest of the 12 months of pay-slips we are missing, but they have all been issued electronically, so we might have the same issue. I think she has an email address for someone in the HR department, or at least I hope so. I have everything else uploaded and was just double checking everything. I just want this anxiety off until the next go-round, lol.

Fingers crossed - as it’s just a payslip verification letter and not a proper employment letter, if she can contact HR for it, her old manager will not need to be involved at all.

Perhaps this is just semantics or my own inability to keep things organized without specific structure, but I uploaded all the financials, such as bank statements and payslips under the category Finances, per other posts I've seen showing where the documents go.
But I see there is a category that says Sponsor/Employment. Should I remove and reupload the payslips and emplyment contract and such documents to that category?

Nope, you have put them in exactly the correct section

The Sponsor/Employment section does not apply to settlement visas, it's for sponsored work visas, so you don't upload anything to that section.

The upload sections you should be using are:

Application Documents (I think it's called that - might be Mandatory Documents?)
- Applicant's passport
- any previous passports held since arriving in the UK
- Signed consent forms
- Signed sponsor's declaration

Proof of Identity/Travel History
- Sponsor's UK passport
- Applicant's BRP card

Finances
- all the financial requirement documents

Residence in the UK
- accommodation documents
- cohabitation documents

Other
- marriage certificate
- any divorce decrees
- any other documents you are including

And you leave all the other upload sections blank

I know I have the Sponsor Declaration form, but I thought I saw on someone elses post the consent forms are not currently needed? Or did I read the wrong thing?

Also I do not have a BRP card, but I get one after my biometric appointment, don't I?

If the consent forms (Part 1 and Part 2) are part of the online application, which I believe they are for FLR, they must be included.

Yes, all visas valid more than 6 months are issued as a BRP card, so you will get a BRP card when your FLR(M) has been granted.

Visas valid 6 months or less (I.e. fiancé visas) are issued as a sticker in your passport, so just ignore the BRP card for the upload section - I forgot you were on a fiancé visa when I wrote that post earlier.

I just want to take a moment and say again how much this forum has helped me. Re-reading my previous post and the replies has done so much to calm my anxiety about applying for my SECOND FLR. Halfway down, halfway to go for ILR.
Left it a wee bit too long because I'm a procrastinator, but should have everything submitted this weekend, before my expiration date.
Y'all are lifesavers ❤️
