ILR - income question and document checklist
« on: September 09, 2024, 05:49:35 AM »
Hey everyone! It's finally time to apply for ILR. I've been using UK Yankee to help me with every visa since my fiance visa, and I am so incredibly thankful for you all. I couldn't have done it without this community.

I am here one final time for help with a couple questions before I apply next weekend and confirmation I have all the documents I need. This is the first time applying since having a baby this year so I'm nervous to get it right on that end as well.

Financial Proof Question:
My husband has had the same employer for over two years and always made well above the minimum income. However he got a promotion in his team in March. I'm confused how this changes our financial route, it is the same employer always making above the minimum, but his February payslip will be different amount. Do we still apply under cat A with the 7 payslips? Should his employer just note the change in their letter?

Visa History:
Fiance Visa: March 2019

Commenting as the partner of someone who just submitted their ILR application.

Your list looks identical to ours so I'd say that's all good, although I think when we applied for flr we provided 7 months of payslips/bank statements just to make sure we covered the whole time period. (We applied under category B this time so I had to provide 12 months of each).

I would say you would still apply under Cat A and maybe in the employer letter have them mention that there was a promotion and scary increased. I had the same when we applied for the previous visa and it was all good  :)

Hope that helps!
